EVS 423 - GIS Applications to the Field Sciences(4 credits) Prerequisite(s): GEO 323 or permission of instructor. Introduction to Geographic Information Systems and its applications to the field-oriented sciences such as Archeology, Biology, Environmental Science, and Geology. Lectures will deal with the theory and practice of those aspects of geographic information systems most appropriate for understanding issues in field-oriented studies; laboratories will apply that theory and practice to examples drawn from the field sciences.
