The Spanish Health Sciences Minor consists of 18 credit hours beyond the 100 level.  All students completing the minor need to take SPN 201, SPN 202 or SPN 205, SPN 304, SPN 305, and SPN 397 (15 credits in total) and any other elective at the 300-400 level (3 credits). Transfer students must complete 10 hours of the 18 required for the minor in residence at Cleveland State University. Students seeking a minor in Spanish must have an adviser in Spanish to assist in the selection of courses. No grade below C in a minor course may count toward the minor.

Retroactive Credit

Students are eligible to earn up to 16 retroactive credits for previous knowledge of Spanish. This policy is for students who have completed a foreign-language skills course and who earned a B- or better in that course. For example, if your first Spanish skills course is SPN 201 and you receive an A or B, you can receive credit for SPN 101 and SPN 102 in addition to SPN 201. Students who take the AP Spanish or the IB Spanish test can also receive credits depending on their score. Consult the Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at 216-687-4646 for further information.

B. Required course: Choose one of the following (4 credit hours)
