Admission Requirements
Students with a baccalaureate degree from a fully accredited college or university who have an Ohio teaching certificate or license, and who present satisfactory evidence of the ability to pursue graduate study can be considered for admission. Admission requirements include submission of: - A completed application form.
- Official transcripts from all colleges/universities where degrees were previously received.
- Take the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and earn a score above the 50th percentile; students are exempt from these test requirements if:
- Baccalaureate degree is less than six years old at time of application AND undergraduate cumulative grade point average was at least 2.75 out of 4.00;
- OR Baccalaureate degree is six years old or older at the time of application and your cumulative grade point average was at least 3.00 out of 4.00;
- OR student completes the equivalent of 12 semester hours of Cleveland State University graduate course work (including EDB 601) and receive a grade of B or better in each course.
Educational Technology
Specialization leading to a Master of Education degree. (30 credits) Purpose This specialization is for educators who wish to develop and enhance their ability to use computers and related informational technologies in a regular classroom setting. Students explore the use of a variety of hardware and software in the K-12 setting, including the use of distance education technologies (both Web-based and video). For students certified or licensed as classroom teachers in Ohio, this program also grants the Ohio computer/technology teaching endorsement. Program of Study College Core
