Computer Science Education for P-12, Post Licensure Endorsement

The College of Public Affairs and Education can recommend PreK-12 endorsement in Computer Science Eudcation for candidates who hold an Ohio teaching license or certificate, have completed an approved program of preparation, and have successfully passed any examinations prescribed by the State Board of Education.

Core (16 Credits)

Must take course CIS 151 and CIS 260 before taking DSA 230 or EUT 419 . Must take DSA 230 before taking DSA 330 .

CIS 151 - Invitation to Computing
CIS 260 - Introduction To Programming
DSA 230 - Introduction to Data Science I
DSA 330 - Introduction to Data Science II
EUT 419 - Methods of Teaching Computer Science

Elective (3 Credits)

Choose one of the following:

PHL 215 - Technology Ethics
PHL 216 - AI & Data Ethics
