HIS 340 - Roman Empire

(4 credits)
The rise and decline of the Roman Empire from the age of Augustus to the end of the fifth century, including the development of Roman government, culture and society. Examines the growth of Christianity and the interaction of the later Empire with the “barbarian” nations, and their effects on the transformation of the western Empire into the late antique world and the early Middle Ages. Classical and Medieval Studies course. This course may fulfill a General Education Requirement.
