HIS 377 - History of Islamic Civilizations

A survey of the main themes of the development of religious, cultural, social, and political patterns in central Islamic areas from the seventh century A.D. to the present. Particular emphasis on development and spread of Islam, interactions with the West, and problems of modernization. This course may fulfill a General Education Requirement.
