HIS 382 - Origins and Consequences of Total War

(4 credits)
Examination of the diplomatic history of the period 1870-1945 within the larger framework of European international relations surrounding the first and second world wars; special consideration is devoted to the role of domestic pressures in the formulation of foreign policy and the historical debates about the origins of both world wars . This course may fulfill a General Education Requirement.
