MTH 496H - Honors Project(4 credits) Prerequisite(s): At least two mathematics courses numbered 300 or above, or approval of the Department Honors Liaison Officer. Students will work individually with a mathematics faculty investigating a mathematical or statistical topic of mutual interest.Students will be required to read articles assigned by the faculty member.A student’s work will consist of a written pre-proposal, and a final paper complete with Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.In addition, students will give an oral presentation of their work to departmentfaculty and students.
