SOC 203 - Sociology of Poverty

Analysis of the evolution and significance of poverty in the United States, the characteristics of the poor and the experience of poverty, competing explanations for poverty, and evaluation of the impact of social policy on the poor and society as a whole. This course may fulfill a General Education Requirement.
