SOC 400 - Capstone Course in Sociology and Criminology
(4 credits) Prerequisite(s): Sociology Majors: SOC 101, SOC 201, SOC 352, SOC 354 and senior standing; Criminology Majors: SOC 101, SOC 201, SOC 250, SOC 344, SOC 351 , SOC 354 and senior standing. This course uses the explication of research methods to provide a capstone experience to Sociology and Criminology majors. Students integrate and extend knowledge and skills gained through previous courses to deepen their understanding of how social science knowledge is produced by writing a research paper/proposal. Required for majors.
