SWK 465 - Aging & Social Work(3 credits) Prerequisite(s): Junior standing or permission of instructor. Conceptual and methodological perspectives for understanding the basic needs of the aging and the contingencies they face; includes the principles of and strategies for assessing needs, establishing objectives, estimating resources, and determining and evaluating interventions at individual, family, group, and community levels. Opportunity for students to become familiar with programs for the aged, service delivery networks, and strategies for influencing social policy and legislation.
