ANT 366 - Native Peoples of Southwest

(4 credits)
An in-depth examination of the Southwest culture area of Native North American found primarily within Arizona and New Mexico and parts of Colorado and Nevada. The course focuses on the ethnography of the region, with a brief overview of the archaeological basis of contemporary settlement. While not strictly enforced, it is strongly recommended that students either have taken or are concurrently enrolled in ANT 351  Native North Americans. Non-Western Culture and Civilization.
