CHE 488 - Materials Selection and Specification(3 credits) Prerequisite(s): Senior standing in Engineering or permission of instructor. Application of engineering of materials science principles in the selection and/or specification of metals, ceramics, and plastic materials for use in structural, mechanical, and chemical usage. Mechanical properties, corrosion, oxidation, and variation of properties with temperature are considered.
