STA 435 - Statistical Consulting and Programming[3 credit(s)] Prerequisite: MTH/STA 347 with a grade of “B” or better, or departmental approval. This course will have students work in consulting teams with university or community partners on real-world case studies of statistical methods learned in previous courses. Students will prepare written reports and oral presentations that discuss the findings of the analysis. In addition, students will learn data manipulation and graphics skills involving the SAS and R software packages. Counts toward the statistics minor; does not count toward the minor, BA or BS in Mathematics.
