UST 207 - Ohio Government

This course provides a detailed study of Ohio’s state and local government system. By examining the Ohio constitution and the complexities of the state’s three main branches, students will come to understand both the policymaking process and their rights and responsibilities as citizens. The curriculum further highlights the roles of local governments, with a special focus on Northeast Ohio, and their relationships with federal and state entities. With an emphasis on civic engagement, students are primed to become informed and active participants in Ohio’s political landscape.
