The certificate program is designed according to the education requirements set by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Real Estate, as well as a comprehensive study of real estate programs offered in the nation. Upon completion of the certificate program, students will be eligible to take the Ohio Real Estate Licensure exam to become a broker or a sales agent, or seek opportunities in the real estate industry to become developers, property managers, consultants, or investors.
The certificate requires the completion of 15 credits. Students are required to take the following four courses: MGT 344 , BLW 444 , FIN 477 , BUS 477 (total of 12 credits), and choose one elective (3 credits) from the approved list. Students are required to meet all course prerequisites. (Students may use MGT 344 , BLW 444 , and BUS 477 to meet general business elective requirements.)
A minimum grade of C is required in each required course (MGT 344 , BLW 444 , FIN 477 , BUS 477 ) to earn the certificate.
Students can transfer a maximum of 3 credits to the program from another institution. Transfer credits may only be applied to the elective course requirement; required courses must be taken at CSU.
