Prerequisite(s): PHY 450 or permission of instructor. Advanced optics laboratory that gives students “hands-on” experience with optical instruments and techniques; experiments on dispersion in glass, interferometry, spectral analysis, diffraction, Gaussian wave optics; student-designed experiment.
