CIS 475 - Introduction to Computer Security[3 credit(s)] Prerequisite: CIS 345. This class covers the computer security principles, basic cryptography, authentication, program security, trusted operating systems, computer system attacks and intrusion detection. Linux and other modern operating systems will be used as examples to illustrate the concepts covered in class. Students will develop the skills in basic security system programming through a number of class projects. Basic operating system concepts are required. C/C++ programming skills are required.
