FIN 479 - Real Estate Investment[3 credit(s)] Prerequisite: FIN 351. Analysis of factors that determine the investment returns and value of real estate, versus other alternatives. The curriculum examines decision making from the perspective of institutional, as well as individual investors, and the estimation of risk and return in an individual property and portfolio context. Methodologies for appraising income-producing properties are also analyzed. Review of current research in these areas, the implications of these results, and further directions for study are also discussed.
