GET 315 - Advanced Programming Methods[3 credit(s)] Prerequisites: Permission of instructor. This course explores numerical methods using advanced topics in computer programming. These topics may include design patterns, advanced graphical components, software component models, concepts and structures for high level programming, elements of structured programming using FORTRAN 90 and C, use of software packages such as Maple, MATLAB, and MathCAD, assignments in a microcomputer and network environments, numerical algorithms, such as root finding, solution of linear and nonlinear algebraic equations, numerical integration and differential equations, and applications in statistics, optimization, and finite-element analysis.
