MTH 117 - Mathematical Applications in the Real World[3 credit(s)] Prerequisite(s): MTH 116. This course continues the development of quantitative reasoning skills as started in MTH 116. Topics in this course include the mathematics used in voting, including weighted voting systems; mathematics of touring (The Traveling Salesman Problem); as well as the mathematics of networks and scheduling. This course is for students not planning to major in a field requiring advanced mathematical skills.
