MTH 401 - Mathematical Modeling[3 credit(s)] Prerequisites: A grade of “C” or better in MTH 284 or MTH 288, MTH 286, and at least one mathematics course numbered 300 or above (MTH 301 recommended) or permission of instructor. Deterministic and probabilistic models chosen from the areas of linear optimization, Markov chains, game theory, graphs and networks, axiom systems, growth processes, and queuing systems. Course includes use of a computer algebra system, such as Maple or MATLAB.
