SOC 317 - Sociology of Gender[3 credit(s)] Pre-req: Gen Ed Eng/Comp, Must have at least sophomore standing to be eligible for this course. Examines the significance of gender differences in the experiences of women and men in social institutions (such as family, education, economic, legal, political), the theoretical perspectives utilized to analyze these differences, and the effects of changing expectations on gender roles and identities.
