SPH 241 - Survey of Deaf Culture[3 credit(s)] This course is intended to provide a study of Deaf culture and cross-cultural interactions. Provides a historical overview of American Sign Language (ASL); methods of communication used by those who are Deaf, Deaf/Blind; the role of interpreters in the Deaf community; and an overview of shared customs, language, technology, attitudes, and values of the Deaf community.
