UST 424 - Inequality and Economic Development

Prerequisite: UST 300 or ECN 202. This course focuses on inequality and employment with a focus on exploring the central tenet of economic development: development must sustainably increase the standard of living for everyone. This course focuses on where the public sector invests, how it invests, and what it means for communities. The class focuses on opportunity through the study of employment for workers of various educational backgrounds, job accessibility, skills training, and structural inequality.
