ESE 362 - Moderate/Intensive Classroom Management & Behavior Intervention[3 credit(s)] Prerequisites: EDB 241, EDB 242, ETE 243. Corequisites: ESE 361, ETE 343. Minimum GPA of 2.75. Must be admitted into the college as a declared major or minor. Leadership in education requires skills for teaching all students in the classroom as well as teaching students in non-traditional learning environments. Successful teaching rests on a strong foundation and working knowledge of the basic principles of learning as well as fluency in applying a variety of data-driven, best practice approaches for increasing prosocial skills while decreasing aberrant behavior across the range of instructional environments. This course covers the utilization of Applied Behavior Analysis and Positive Behavior Support to ensure the academic and social success of school students.
