ESE 435 - Ethics and Consultation in Behavior Analysis[3 credit(s)] Prerequisite: Admission to the BCaBA certification sequence; ESE 430/530 Principles of Behavior Analysis; ESE 431/531 Research Methods in Behavior Analysis. This course will familiarize pre-service practitioners with the interrelationship of professional ethics, law, and consultation practices in a field-based context. The content of this course is drawn directly from the Fourth Edition of the Behavior Analyst Task List and the Guidelines for Responsible Conduct for Behavior Analysts, as well as other salient resources from leading educational and mental health organizations. Informed consent, protection of confidentiality, due process, and application of least restrictive behavior change procedures will be presented, discussed, and evaluated within the course.
