Scholars major: 75 Requirements of the College of Sciences and Health Professions: A minimum of 120 credit hours is required for a degree, of which 42 semester credit hours must be earned in 300- and/or 400-level courses. Required physics courses
the following required physics courses: Physics Electives
18 credits of physics electives to be selected from all the 300- and 400-level physics courses Mathematics and computer science courses
the following required mathematics and computer science courses: Chemistry with associated laboratory courses
introductory sequence of chemistry with associated laboratory courses Biology with associated laboratory courses
introductory sequence of biology with associated laboratory courses Computer and information science courses
Any two 300-/400- level CIS courses. Upper-division credits
18 upper-division credits in a coherent program from a different discipline such as biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, environmental science, education or engineering. Program must be approved by the Physics Department adviser. Note(s):
3 of the 36 credit hours (18 cr physics electives + 18 cr different discipline) have to be a 300 or 400 level lab course, approved by the Physics Department adviser. Physics with Secondary Teacher Licensure
The CSUteach Program offers an option of an integrated science license (Physics) or a dual program in single-field physics and integrated mathematics. The licensure programs require coursework from the College of Science and the College of Education and Human Services.
