Digital Content Production Minor

This minor in digital content production prepares students from all majors with knowledge and skills required to become effective and engaging communicators in digital spaces. Students will learn to produce engaging and interactive websites and videos and use of analytical skills to evaluate impact. The students will learn to apply these digital skills in a variety of fields such as promotional communication, corporate communication, political communication, public affairs, advocacy in non-profits, and journalism. Students in journalism and promotional sequences are permitted to double count a few courses, if they choose to take this minor, as some of the courses in the new minor are currently part of the current JPC Major. Students must complete five courses amounting to 19 credits to earn the Minor in Digital Content Production.

Prerequisite
Prerequisite to enroll in the certificate program is COM 225 - Media Writing or any WAC course across the university with B- or better grade.
Required Courses (19 Credits Hours)
COM 363 must be taken along with COM 430 capstone.
