DESCRIPTION
Studying Healthcare Management provides students with the basis to understand healthcare-topics such as healthcare management, healthcare delivery models, healthcare finance, marketing, healthcare law and healthcare information systems, along with a solid foundation of fundamental business knowledge. Also, the program requires completion of a healthcare concentration. The healthcare concentration allows students to pursue specialties such as healthcare informatics, various undergraduate minors from any discipline at CSU or prepare for graduate programs by completing corresponding undergraduate coursework.

Graduates of the program will have career opportunities as health service managers, hospital administrators or healthcare technology manager with various organizations that include hospitals, clinics, health service providers, insurance organizations, nursing homes and healthcare financial/management based private and government organizations.

Both majors, Healthcare Management and Africana Studies, can be completed in four years under supervised academic advising in the College of Business and the College of Arts and Sciences. Through this dual degree plan, students will expand their educational experience by taking courses in two different colleges that explore race, allyship, social justice, management, and public policy. The Healthcare Management degree is designed to address Cleveland’s need for diverse healthcare management, administrators, and talent, and to prepare students for careers in the fast-growing healthcare market.
