DESCRIPTION

Studying property management provides students with basic business knowledge along with in-depth knowledge of management of various real estate properties. In addition, the program provides knowledge in areas such as leasing policies/consulting, legal issues, marketing and management strategies, tenant relations, accounting, maintenance, and communication.

WHAT CAREERS CAN THIS MAJOR PREPARE YOU FOR?

The Property Management program will prepare students for a career in the property management industry. Graduates of the program will have career opportunities to manage a variety of commercial, industrial and residential properties and real estate holdings, which can include apartments, detached houses, condominium units, shopping centers and other types of property.

Hours Required for Degree


Minimum hours required for degree: 120

Students majoring in Property Management must complete a minimum of 36 credit hours of property management and associated coursework beyond the business core requirements.

Graduation requirements: Completion of required M/QL courses and all PRM major courses: Business core and PRM core with a final grade of C or higher.

Major Requirements


Graduation requirements: Minimum of a grade of C or higher in all PRM major-related courses (business core, property management core, and PRM elective courses). PRM major courses (business core, property management core, and PRM elective courses) in which a grade lower than a “C” was earned must be repeated.
